Walking Scenes

Autumn chrysanthemums getting ready to bloom.

The white ash trees are changing rapidly but the maple tree next to it is still very green.

The water lilies are finished for the year but their pond drowses in the lovely warmth of a sunny autumn day.

Happy Wednesday.

    1. It’s just before 11am and 15C (59F), but we’re supposed to get a high of 22 (72F). The autumn weather has really been marvellous after a very hot summer with temperatures around 40 (104F). We hadn’t seen any change in foliage until very recently but now it’s beautiful!

  1. It has been an amazing year for long lasting leaves Lynette (that’s a whole lotta L’s). It was the same here, but a gust front came though about 6 PM last night and I think it took all my oak leaves off. Nice to have a long autumn. Happy Wednesday. Allan

    1. Haha. 😊 Thanks, Allan. Yes, it seems you have had a much slower and longer fall than usual. There’s really nothing much lovelier than an unhurried autumn, even though I’m not a fan of the season that follows. I hope the wind took the leaves along – no raking!

  2. Since I’ve been sick, I haven’t been able to see the outdoor sights. So I’ve been enjoying your pictures. I’m seeing improvement and hoping by this weekend I’ll be able to walk with the dog and hubs again.

    1. That will be wonderful! 🌸 I hope you continue to improve and feel better every day, even if it’s only a bit. I hate being sick, but sometimes you just have to go with it and let your body handle it the way it wants. Good wishes, Lori. 💛 Cheers.

    1. Yes, the weather has really been wonderful; some people are still swimming and sitting in the beach. It has certainly been nice enough, especially if there’s no wind. The colours are starting to really develop right now. So pretty!
