  3. I’ve sailed only a couple of times. My first wife worked with a teacher who lived on a small island and owned a 27 ft yacht. We went out with him and his wife and I loved taking the helm, working the sheets, and generally helping to sail the boat. There’s something very special about finding the wind and allowing it to control the boat at the speed and in the direction you choose.

    1. I once went sailing with colleagues. We planned on a picnic-on-the-boat. What we got was stuck on a sandbar for hours and had a very leisurely picnic-on-the-boat until the tide freed us 🙂 I still think sailing is, as someone captioned, sublime!
