Here in southern Ontario where I am presently visiting, everything is in the pink!

The weather has been cool, windy and rainy at times, but we had enough sun to get good shots of these pretty spring flowers.

where about in southern Ontario Lynette?

Hi Wayne, we’re meandering along the coast: Port Stanley, Port Bruce, Long Point, Port Dover.

are you going to visit Point Pelee?

That was part of the original plan but we had to change it, unfortunately.

the south end of Pelee is further south than Crescent city California.

Yes, it’s quite surprising when you realise how far south it is!

Rain or shine, flowers always lift the spirits Lynette. The plum and apple trees are starting to bloom here right now, adding their pink to the whites of Mayday and Schubert trees. Hopefully, the small showers last evening and a bit of rain this morning will help this all out. Happy Monday. Allan

Thanks, Allan. Great that you’re getting some blooming and at least some rain; it’s better than none, even if you only get a small amount every day or second day. I love the mayday trees. So pretty and the scent is lovely. Spring has been slow to southern Ontario, as well. Very rainy and chilly.

A lovely set and I do love that orchid photograph!

Thank you very much, Belinda. I was quite surprised to see a profusion of orchids in someone’s planter boxes. I didn’t think they were tough enough for that.

Right? There are some very pretty spring scenes right now but very short and have to be enjoyed right away.

Pretty in pink! We seemed to have missed most of the miserable weather while we were away. Good timing I guess!

Yes, excellent timing! Despite the less than stellar weather the blooms have been gorgeous!

Pretty in pink! They remind me of the lyrics to the Nat King Cole song “A blossom fell from off a tree
It settled softly on the lips you turned to me”.
