The Cloud and the Sun

Sometimes it’s cloudy and rainy, especially at this time of year …

… but when April changes its mind …

… and surprises us with the bright and sunny …

… it’s important to remember …

… that the beauty is always there, no matter what the weather.

    1. There’s a surprising amount of yellow tone in the first photo that the camera could see but that I didn’t. It was raining and misty, so that warmish tone was unexpected (except for the willows coming into leaf). Yes, I find poor weather to be just as interesting and beautiful as good weather. Cheers.

    1. Thank you very much, Belinda. 😊 I like how the dark the clouds are with the clearing at the far end of the lake. The interplay of light and cloud here is so interesting to me. Cheers.

  1. I am such a fan of sunshine that I have to work hard to see the beauty in a cloudy day. Your photos do all of it justice and it looks amazing to me as we are in day 3 of a wicked spring blizzard. Bernie

    1. Thank you very much Bernie and I’m glad you were able to see the beauty in these clouds. We are in a valley between mountain ranges and as a result we get very interesting cloud and light formations. So sorry to hear about your blizzard, and day 3 no less. I hope that clear skies arrive soon.

    1. Nope, we sure wouldn’t! I’m also rather fascinated by the interplay between cloud and light in this valley and love watching mist descend from the mountains or the sun sinking below a peak and casting multi-hued rays.
