Yes, we’re changing tonight. I’m a proponent of nailing the time down to standard although I understand that it’s hung up because governments want to set it at permanent daylight while electorates apparently don’t favour that. BC is waiting to see what Washington state is going to do (legislation has already passed for permanent daylight) but polls show that a vast majority want permanent standard instead. It’s an issue, especially with an election coming up!
Enjoy your warmer temperatures, Allan. Cheers.
That it is. It reached a high of 20C here in southern Ontario today. Some of our spring flowers are already starting to come out. As much as I’m enjoying it, it all feels a bit strange considering the time of year.
Yes, we had 19C. And, we have plants starting to bloom as well. Yes, it’s definitely early, too early, in my opinion. Would be better if it slowed a bit but I guess we’ll see how things progress. Cheers.
The sun, when we see it has real power these days. +5 yesterday, +9 today. We can feel spring for sure. Happy last day of standard time Lynette. Allan

Permanent DST is just plain stupid. Sunrise here in December is already at 9:00 AM. Imagine it being 10:00 AM. Yikes

I agree. I’ve lived with 10:00 a.m. (and later) sunrises while living in NWT, so I definitely know what it feels like.

Thank you very much, Belinda. 😊 We are about +9 but the wind is crazy! Gusts of 70km.
