It’s nice to see the bright green winter moss and to also hear the gurgling snow melt water.

We have had a lot of rain which has made quick work of the frozen stuff, and it’s beginning to feel a teeny bit like spring might be on the way.

There’s a little snow at the higher elevations, but that won’t last long either.

Happy Wednesday.
Beautiful pictures 🌹

We’ve had our ups and down temperature wise. Bunch of snow and now we’re looking at a week above freezing. Not feeling at all spring-like but better than the deep freeze we had.
Happy early spring melt, Lynette!

I hope I haven’t spoken too soon! The winter weather this year seems to completely wonky in so many places. Lots of records for both heat and cold have been broken; I’m concerned about what kind of summer we might have.

A strange winter Lynette. +13C here yesterday, a new January record. There is so little snow left, I could go out and rake my lawn. Top that off with one water plant shut down for repair and water rationing and it seems we are already in training for a hot dry summer. Have a wonderful Wednesday. Allan

Thanks, Allan.
It sure has been. I’ve been reading that Alberta, and particularly southern Alberta, is facing dire spring drought conditions and apparently north central BC still hasn’t had enough precipitation to pull out of the drought conditions, either. It’s very concerning and I hope it turns around.
We seem to be okay here – we’ve had a lot of rain (and snow, too). This morning we’re continuing the slow rain that started up again yesterday but it’s suspended as fog since we’re picking up the edge of that major system that’s in Vancouver right now. Can’t see across the street! I hope your water plant is up and running again soon.

We haven’t had rain and are running out of snow, but I know spring is not just around the corner here 😊

Sounds like you could do with some precipitation. If I could, I would send some of ours as we have had so much. I hope I’m right about spring!

Lynette, such pretty photos as the snow recedes – there is a special sense of drama as the big melt begins! Here the bulbs are out in force and just hope there won’t be too much of a frost.

Thank you, Annika. Given how strange and unpredictable our winter has been, I hope that I’m right about spring! So great that your bulbs are out.

Yes, there is, but I hope I’m right and not duped by a one-off day!

I love the frozen icicles. Most of our snow has melted these past few days as we’ve been enjoying warmer weather and some sunshine.

There were lots of these little partially frozen springs up in the mountains; yes, so pretty. Ours is gone as well but we’re back to the rain and fog. Enjoy your good weather!
