Since we have become warmer, we have been experiencing some dramatic and interesting cloud formations. This is a good example of how wintry blue the skies over Okanagan Lake can appear.

Happy Sunday.

Reminds me a bit of Northern Norway.

Okanagan Lake is what’s called a “fjord lake” in that it’s long, narrow and deep. That’s probably why it seems reminiscent of Norway. I’ve thought the same thing. Cheers.

Not a good day for solar energy collection. That’s been the story here for most of January. The blue is attractive though. Have a fine Sunday, Lynette!

Thanks, Steve.
Definitely not. That’s been the case here, too. You would need to be relying on your bank, for sure.

You must be hoping for a bit of sunshine soon Lynette. Lots of sunshine here these days, after a couple of days of smog from the inversion. Happy Sunday. Allan

Thanks, Allan.
I sure am. The rain has been so important given the drought conditions from last year (my understanding is that the ground water levels are normal now), but a bit of sun would be welcome! Enjoy your weather, Allan.

Beautiful with such variations of blue!

The constantly changing views down this lake, even if it’s overcast, are amazing, in my opinion. I’m a little biased, though. 🙂

Gorgeous picture! I really like the waves close to shore. Or is that still some leftover ice?

Thank you very much, Anneli. Unfortunately, that’s ice. It has all broken up in the warmer weather but it’s still hanging about. I figure that another week above 0 will finish it off. Our temperatures are supposed to go to the low teens by tomorrow.

I’m ready for daffodils to bloom. It’s not happening here yet, but I’m ready for it.

I am, too, Anneli. It isn’t happening here either, but it isn’t too far away now.

Beautiful photo that still looks bitter cold. Thankfully, spring is not too far off!

It’s actually a lot warmer than the picture communicates – about 10C (50F). That blue overcast gives such a sense of icy wind and cold. Cheers.

Beautiful! It has been getting very warm, windy, and rainy here.

It’s warmer than the picture is communicating. We’re about 10C (50F) with lots of rain, also. I’m beginning to wonder if I’m going to see the sun again …

I’ll pretend it’s warm, Lynette.

Hahaha. 😊 We’re definitely colder than where you are! But at 10C it’s okay. I would love to see some sun, though.

Come on over! I can’t guarantee you sunshine but we have the most beautiful almond blossom at present 🤗🌸🩷

Would love to! We are planning a trip tentatively for autumn. Our weather will really start to become more spring-like in the next month, so not too much longer to go!

I like the different shades of blue (my favourite colour).

Yes, I like that cobalt blue a lot, too. I’m reminded that you like hydrangeas; you must appreciate the blue ones a lot. 😊

I sure do! But then again I enjoy every colour that hydrangeas come in as they are such beautiful flowers!
