Since we have become warmer, we have been experiencing some dramatic and interesting cloud formations. This is a good example of how wintry blue the skies over Okanagan Lake can appear.

Reminds me a bit of Northern Norway.

Okanagan Lake is what’s called a “fjord lake” in that it’s long, narrow and deep. That’s probably why it seems reminiscent of Norway. I’ve thought the same thing. Cheers.

I sure am. The rain has been so important given the drought conditions from last year (my understanding is that the ground water levels are normal now), but a bit of sun would be welcome! Enjoy your weather, Allan.

Thank you very much, Anneli. Unfortunately, that’s ice. It has all broken up in the warmer weather but it’s still hanging about. I figure that another week above 0 will finish it off. Our temperatures are supposed to go to the low teens by tomorrow.

It’s actually a lot warmer than the picture communicates – about 10C (50F). That blue overcast gives such a sense of icy wind and cold. Cheers.
