Chilly Reflections

We have warmed up significantly but have about another 10°C to go before we reach seasonal. Thankfully that’s supposed to happen by Friday!

In the meantime, a side effect of this cold snap is that we have had wind-still, sunny days that produce photos like the one above.

Happy Monday.

  1. We are just now entering a cold snap which we are quite happy about. We need to have next year’s firewood delivered and the side yard where it needs to get dropped is often quite wet which makes it tough for the delivery truck to get out after tires sink into the mud. But a week of never higher than freezing and nights in the teens and single numbers should take care of that for delivery this coming weekend.
But, it is also bringing winds which make me envious of your nice calm pond reflection.

    1. There seems to be a lot of significant (and colder) weather all over the northern hemisphere, it seems. It’s great that the colder weather is working for you from a logistical standpoint. Wind-still is always great, I think. Cheers.

    1. It is warming up, Allan, although I understand that it will be a bit slower process on the prairies. We’re another couple of degrees warmer than yesterday (-11) and still on track for +1 by Saturday. I think your weather will be behind by a couple of days. Cheers.

    1. I looked that up and it’s -37C, so pretty frigid! Temperatures like that were normal in the subarctic, but then again the prairies can get quite cold in the winter. Actually, Jacqui, after six subarctic winters I did move – and to a temperate area too – but then we got this crazy and unusual cold snap. I hope it’s not following me!
