I think autumn is my favourite season – although when summer comes along, I love it, too – because of how comfortably warm, wind-still and beautiful it can be with all the colours. Given how rainy and overcast it has been here, it’s nice to look back as a reminder of what we have coming up.

Happy Monday.
Ahhhh Autumn. The best time of year Lynette. Love the Gingko leaves. We passed one of these regularly while in Vancouver. It was amazing in the sunlight. Happy Monday. Allan

Thanks, Allan.
Agreed – Autumn is so great! And yes, the ginkgo trees are gorgeous, especially in the sun.
We are supposed to be getting colder temperatures, a low of -10C by Friday, but so far, the forecast is constantly being revised up. Kelowna is getting a snowstorm today but so far, no snow here. I hope you’ve been getting some precipitation. Cheers.

It was 38 when I woke up this morning–very cold for California–so Autumn sounds nice!

I looked up that temperature and in Celsius it’s not a lot above freezing. Definitely unusual for California, but I hope you have some sun at least. 😊

You’re right, the colours are beautiful. I didn’t know ginko biloba grew in BC, you have such a great climate 😊

It has been so overcast and rainy and it seems that the entire country is getting some very bad weather right now, so bright photos of better weather seemed appropriate.
Yes, ginkgo grows in the more temperate parts of BC (we’re in a very deep valley between mountain ranges so most of the cold weather goes over us). They’re such beautiful trees.

A nice look back, I’ll admit I am yearning for Spring.

Thank you. After six winters working in the subarctic (average January temperature is -35C), experiencing a winter in our temperate valley is so very easy, but I’m looking forward to spring, too.

Yes, it is a good time of year. I know that winter is my least favourite, but I’ll try to find something good about it. We have to get through it, so we might as well try to enjoy it.

For me, this winter has been a walk in the park after NWT. I’ve particularly enjoyed seeing the interplay of cloud and mist over the lake and I don’t mind the rain, either. But I’m looking forward to spring, too. Winter is definitely not my favourite either, but this year’s feels so carefree – my parka is still packed away and may never see the light of day again!

You have to have seen worse to enjoy what we’re all griping about.

Hahaha. 😊 Very true. This is so much better than -35!

Autumn is the most beautiful season with so much beauty and color.

I agree, Tricia. It’s such a beautiful time of the year, sunny, clear, not too hot, and then there are the amazing colours and fruit and veggies, too. Cheers.

It’s always nice to have something to look forward to. And that view is definitely worth looking forward to, along with all the summer blooms and fall colours.

I agree, Linda. The two lakes, Skaha and Okanagan, are so stunningly gorgeous in autumn. They’re beautiful in spring and summer, too, but in autumn the weather is just so beautifully clear and warm, not hot, and the lakes are still retaining summer heat, so they’re great for swimming. Skaha is almost like a bathtub. Pretty wonderful.

Thank you very much. 🙂 It helps to look back when the present weather is less than desirable!
