Our days are quite short right now, a situation that’s exacerbated because it’s overcast and we’re in a deep valley.

This geography produces beautiful shadows and lake reflections, though. Another advantage is that so far, the snow hasn’t reached us down here!
Happy Sunday.
Beautiful 😍

Thank you very much, Tricia. I hope you are at home and also enjoying your Sunday (without being too badly affected by jet lag). Cheers.

Thanks Lynette. We arrived at our home in Normandie on Thursday evening, and are slowly getting acclimated. We’re enjoying a nice Sunday as I hope you are as well!

The dark days of winter are no fun, but staying inside is not the answer. Good to get out and get some fresh air. It is fresh here this AM at -15 feels like -23. Yes, winter has arrived, but still only an inch of snow. Happy Sunday Lynette. Allan

Thanks, Allan.
I agree. Staying inside just makes it worse, I think. Getting out is much better. It was more of a challenge in NWT but even there I at a minimum walked to work every day. We’re still above 0 although we’re supposed to get snowy rain tomorrow. Cheers.

This is a wonderful photo. I can imagine it’d make a heck of a challenging jigsaw puzzle. Love those shades of blue + black.

Thank you very much. 🙂 I didn’t think of that before, but yes, it would make a challenging jigsaw. It’s very calm usually around sunset so it’s a often a good time for lake photos.

Lovely view! Yes, it does get dark early where we live, too, but so far, the snow has not reached us, either–though we might get some by the end of the week.

This lake is very photogenic, and at any time of the year. Yes, we’re supposed to get some snow later this week as well. Fingers crossed it goes around us!

The short days make you appreciate the sun when it actually does come out. We havent had much snow, but are expecting a snow storm on Tuesday.

It sure does. It has been very overcast here – which is quite normal for this time of year – but we’re expecting a temperature drop over the next couple of days, too. There’s a snowfall warning for Kelowna (40 mins up the lake from us), but so far, not for Penticton. It seems that the entire country is getting some sort of winter blast right about now! I hope you don’t have to go anywhere tomorrow and can just watch the storm from inside.

The winter storm wasn’t too bad, but I’m not a fan of the colder temperatures. But hey, at least it looks pretty outside.

I’m no fan either, Linda. I understand that you’re being walloped again, though. Yikes – we have lately had some bad weather right across the country!

We had another winter storm Friday evening, which also wasn’t too bad. The worst was that it rained afterwards, which made the snow super heavy. Then temperatures dropped, so now everything is hard and crusty.

I’ve experienced that before in January in Ontario. Nasty to have to deal with. Ugh.
