A storm has passed through over the last 24 hours. It’s not a tropical storm per se, but the wind has been strong and it certainly has dumped a lot of rain.

The clouds suddenly rolled in and the wind picked up …

… the rain came down in torrents …

… but we will soon return to clear skies.
Happy Saturday.
I like these three photos a lot.

A great analogy to life. This too shall pass. Happy Saturday Lynette. Allan

I agree, Allan. As Jean-Baptiste Alphonse Karr said, “plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose “ – the more things change, the more they remain the same. Not completely appropriate here, but I’m strongly reminded of that observation. Cheers.

All three photos are beautiful. You can almost feel the atmosphere heavy with rain in the 2nd photo.

Thank you very much, Belinda. 🙂 The rain was coming down incredibly heavily in the second photo. Anyone could have taken a shower, no doubt!

Great photos, Lynette. Your storm has arrived here and we’re trying not to blow away.

Thank you very much, Anneli. I saw where you’re definitely getting a strong dose of December weather! Ugh.

And besides it being wet and windy, it’s really cold. Probably as cold as it can be without snowing at the lower levels.

We’re returning to Canada on Tuesday. Good thing I packed a heavy fleece, scarf and footwear. We’ll be drinking hot chocolate soon!

Get ready for a shock. It would be the reverse of when I first went to Hawaii and as I stepped off the plane, the heat and humidity hit me like a hot wall. I think the worst of the cold weather has passed for now, until the next system comes through.

Ugh. 😣 We’re going to Toronto first and I understand that it has been rather mucky and cold there with snow and sleet. Glad to hear the worst has passed in your area (for now). Penticton has been mostly rainy, I think. It’s far enough south to have escaped the last onslaught, according to Environment Canada.

I hope it’s not too bad in Penticton when you arrive. If it’s cold in Toronto, just remember your days of the last weeks and you’ll feel warmer.

It’s supposed to be around 0 and up to +3 or so with rain or sleet in Penticton. I’ll do exactly that – just dream of the warm days and sun. 😎

Love the clear skies afterwards. And just in time for the sunset. Hard to believe it even stormed.

We were visiting at the very end of storm season so this wasn’t a surprise. Yes, it was beautiful afterwards. Cheers.
