Penticton’s rose garden was still blooming just before we left for our holiday.

Not long after I took these photos, the gardeners did an autumn trim on all the other flowers and then followed up with the roses.

It’s lovely to have such gorgeous flowers blooming so late in the season, but they eventually had to be bedded down for their winter rest.

They will soon be back.
Happy Saturday.
Really cool

You’re very welcome, Sue. They’re gone now, so I have to wait until spring to see more …

Still some beauties this late in the year Lynette. They are a sad lot here in the Vancouver rose garden right now after that storm came through. Happy vacationing. Allan

Thank you, Allan. I’m doing a lot of sleeping! It seems I have a bit of catching up to do. The Penticton rose garden has now been put to bed for winter, so I’m looking forward to its return. Cheers.

It sure is, Anneli. It make winter that much shorter and easier.

They are so pretty and still unopened buds in the first photo. Remarkable for November!

It really was wonderful to see how the rose bushes intended on doing their bit as long as they could. The city gardeners had other ideas though and put the plants to bed whether they wanted to or not! Cheers.

I’m surprised they lasted as long as they did

I am as well, but we hadn’t had a hard frost yet, so I think that would have been part of their longevity.
