I spotted this lone red leaf …

… floating down a creek of reflected cousin leaves that are about to join. There is such beauty in autumn decay.
Happy Tuesday.

Sadly, people don’t see the beauty that even death offers in nature. Nice that you do, Lynette.

Some leaves like to show off, even as the disappear from sight. Leaves on slow water are fascinating. Have a good Tuesday Lynette. Allan

Thank you, Allan.
Hahaha. 🙂 Very true! We still have quite a few leafed trees left, especially in areas that are somewhat protected, including two huge ones behind our deck. One of them showed this morning with one yellow leaf! I won’t be here to see them change though as holidays are beckoning at the end of the week. I hope your drive to Vancouver is uneventful. Cheers.

Great catch! Autumn is still proving pretty wet in England although we’ve had a respite for a couple of days. The trees are changing colour though and it looks like it’ll be great year for fungi.

Thank you very much. It has started raining here, as well. (I no longer work in NWT as I recently retired and am back in the Okanagan Valley.) We’ve been getting the slow, steady, soaking rains that we have desperately needed after the terrible drought and fires of the summer, so no complaints.

Even though it’s such a small leaf, that little bit of red really stands out.

Hi Linda, yes, I was surprised by that, too. The standout in a sea of leaves.
