    1. Thank you; I am. 🙂

These triangular-shaped clouds are called lenticular (lens-shaped) and have lots of updrafts and downdrafts inside them. We were getting lots of rain showers and wind over a lake bordered by mountains, so perfect conditions for their development. They are such an interesting shape. I once read a piece suggesting that lenticular clouds might be at least partially responsible for UFO sightings!

  1. It is always fun to see familiar shapes in clouds and other features of nature. It takes us back to our childhood sense of wonder and that is a good thing. Happy Sunday Lynette. Allan

    1. Thank you.
I agree, Allan. I saw this one while out walking and was reminded of an article I read a while ago stating that lenticular clouds are probably responsible for a lot of UFO sightings. The truth is out (up?) there. 😉

    1. Hahaha. 😁 Those aliens are always trying to relax after a hard day of inter-planetary mind games (are they real, not real, other- dimensional?) and cluttering up other people’s hot tubs! Unfortunately though, this one was over a lake.

    1. I agree. The cloud formations in the mountains are amazing; I love looking at them. This particular cloud type is known as lenticular – not something you would want to fly through but beautiful to watch.
