Summer Yellow

Autumn is known for its lovely yellow hues, but summer gives us some rather appealing yellow shades of its own.

Mid-summer sunflower.
Yellow rose (with guest).
Azaleas.
Rue, also known as Basket of Gold
Yellow swallowtail butterfly.
Goldfinch.

Have a golden day.

  1. The flowerbeds alongside my house are overflowing with sunflowers. They are prolific where I live in seemingly any weather, but this summer’s weather (no droughts) must be especially good for them.

    1. That sounds lovely. I like seeing sunflowers in marvellously nodding profusion, attracting birds and butterflies, and triggering my serotonin levels in the gentlest way. 🙂

  2. We do love summer yellows around here, especially the canola crops. It is very dark here this AM, after 2 hugs thunder storms late last night, both of which dumped huge hail. I am scared to look at my tomatoes. We need rain, but not hail. Have a great Friday Lynette. Allan

    1. Thank you, Allan. The canola fields are so gorgeous and summer-beautiful. I’ve taken many pictures of them. Oh boy, Allan. Now hail. I hope your plants are okay and no other damage. Areas of West Kelowna and Kelowna are now facing evacuation due to a fire that grew out of control because of gusting winds last night.
