  1. So much is made of the current national and world problems, with many saying we should not celebrate Canada Day the same as usual. I say we should celebrate the fact that we are still here, despite the ups and downs, that most of us still try and do the right thing and that we are not afraid to confront our mistakes and shortcomings and try to make things right.     1. I agree, Allan. There have been terrible mistakes and tragedies that weren’t mistakes at all, but like you, I do think that most Canadians try to do the right things and are rather willing to admit shortcomings. Last year I didn’t at all feel celebratory and actually was rather depressed about Cowessess, but today I joined the festivities in Penticton and had fun. Well said, Allan.

  2. Joyeux jour de Canada, mes amis. Il y a un bel avenir devant nous si nous essayons. Laissez le Canada montrer la voie. If we hang on tight we may be able to do this again next year.
