    1. Once it gets going, it will be fast. I took this photo a week ago and the ice now has slush on its surface because the sun has been shining on it for about 15 hours a day. We will soon have about 22 hours of daylight and that will be the end of the ice!

    1. Thank you very much. Yes, that’s ice, still on the surface of the world’s 10th largest lake. I work in the north (62° N. latitude) so we get cold long winters and very long daylight hours in spring and summer (we will reach 22 hours of daylight soon). I took this picture a week ago but the ice has started melting quickly now since our weather has been very sunny.
