Who says Canada is a cold country? A photo from my walk today around Victoria’s inner harbour.

And another from later this evening.

Greetings from beautifully sunny, spring-is-sprung Victoria. 🙂

It is so beautiful and pleasantly warm. 🙂 One more week and then I return to the north where it’s still pretty cold.

Thank you Jill. 🙂 It’s been so nice to get out of the cold for a bit. One more week and then we return to the north.

Victoria is lovely! I was there many years ago, I miss it, the beautiful British Columbia!

The spring is just so lovely. The air is soft and it’s just so comfortably warm. It’s been such a wonderful break for us from the north.

Those pictures can warm a person right up. Spring is here. I’ll hope to make it to Canada one day soon.

believe it or not City Hall is going to get rid of the Cherry trees. They want to plant more indigenous varieties. Once the Cherry trees die they will be replaced with another local kind of tree.

You mean those trees aren’t native? 😉 I’m glad to hear that they are going to let them die off naturally and not cut them down. I get it about replacing them with more indigenous varieties- makes sense. But my, the cherry trees are so pretty! 🙂

They were given to Victoria by the local Japanese.

I love Victoria! We wanted to go there for St. Patrick’s Day, but we were too late in our planning. Next year we’ll plan better–but any time of the year is a great time to visit. Cheers!

I have ex neighbours from South Africa who live in Victoria. We were there about 20 years ago and thought it was a really great place to settle. Lovely spring photos, Lynette.

Thank you. 🙂
Like many before us, we will probably retire there. That was a beautiful day with all the cherry trees starting to bloom.
