After a cloudy, rainy day …

… the sun pushed through enough …

… to highlight these lofty cirrus clouds …

… in an aggressive orange hue. It was an amazing show but didn’t last long.
Happy Thursday.

Wow I have to admit I don’t think I’ve seen that before. That is very orange.

I’ve seen orange skies before but not this intense shade. The photos aren’t edited at all.

Yes that is what is so amazing. It looks naturally like that and I’ve never seen that.

The only time I’ve seen anything similar to that colour is when we’ve had a lot of forest fire particulate in the air, but that also has different characteristics, too.

Yes I remember the forest fires you had

Thanks, Liz. These pictures aren’t edited at all; the camera captured that amazing shade of orange just as it was.

You must have had some sun trying to break through. Every hint of sunshine is encouraging these days. Great pics!

Thank you, Anneli. 😊 Oh yes, it was a cloudy day and the sun was trying to come through late in the evening. Agreed – seeing the sun is so great.

I love those shots Lynette. It looks like the sky is on fire. Even on grey days, nature shows us little miracles. Have a good Thursday. Allan

Thank you very much, Allan. 😊 Yes, it reminded me a bit of the sunsets we get when there’s smoke in the air, but that definitely wasn’t the case. Agreed – a little miracle and so quickly gone again. Cheers.

Thank you very much, Tricia. 😊 Yes, it was really something and reminded me of the sunsets we have when there’s a lot of forest fire smoke in the air. Nothing like that going on though, thankfully.

Those skies were from yesterday (Wednesday). They were totally amazing. We’re not far away, but we do tend to get more sun than Kelowna at this time of year. Too bad you didn’t get any at all!

Beautiful captures. The sky looks like it’s on fire. It’s too bad it didn’t last long. Nothing ever does. But at least there’s always tomorrow.
