It is so nice to feel the warmth of the sun, now that it is climbing higher. Lovely cloudscapes Lynette. We have one more +7 day here today, before dropping back into the cold and snow of winter, but it is always nice to get a break. Happy Thursday. Allan
Thanks, Allan. February and March are definitely known for changing their weather minds; I remember this well from my time in Alberta. Snowy Family Day weekends and spring breaks were common! We’re slated for apparently quite a lot of rain over the next couple of days but the temperatures are supposed to be good, around 9 or so. Agreed; a break is always a good thing. Cheers.
Yes, I think I understand. I’ve done a lot of whining about the overcast and wind but when I stop to think about it, it really hasn’t been a bad winter here at all. Could be a lot worse!
We’re so fortunate here in that the green never totally goes away; there are plants and some shrubs and grasses that stay green all winter. Even the lawn grass doesn’t turn the brown that Alberta gets (I lived in Medicine Hat and remember well the brown springs!). After your visit to a much more verdant climate though Calgary must be a bit of a shock. At least it’s not freezing with snow piled everywhere!
Happy Thursday!

If I could I sure would! On the other hand, we’re slated for wall-to-wall rain starting tomorrow but I’m thinking you would prefer that to snow!

We’ve really missed the sun this winter with so much cloud and even on the potentially sunny days, having fog blocking the sun.

Yes, it could, and it has been in other years. I’m glad we’re nearly through it.

A beautiful day! We have as much snow as you do right now, none. The difference is our lawns are brown. What weird weather to come home to. Maggie

It is nice to ease into winter, which I think will arrive next week.

Such beautiful sunshine! The sun has been missing down here because of those atmospheric rivers.

We have had a lovely little period of sun here but that’s supposed to end tomorrow with buckets of rain! I hope you get some clearing soon. Cheers.

Thanks Lynette, the sun did manage to pop out today with occasional clouds from the Pacific moving east.
