Thank you very much, Thomas. They were very quiet as they paddled into the shore for the evening but yes, I know what you mean. Canada geese can be very aggressive, especially where their young are concerned and they will work together, too. The calmest I ever see them is when they hang out with the mallard ducks who seem to provide them with some serenity.
Yes Canadian Geese can be very aggressive and I wonder if they have scared him, but when he hears a geese quack or whatever you call it, he gets upset and wants to go home.
It seems to me that he was scared by them at some point. My German shepherd was literally chased off by a couple of geese who had chicks – they hissed and flapped and ran at her – and she was ever after wary of them. Not scared exactly but certainly cautious. Maybe something like that happened to Rollo.
Thank you very much, Allan. We’ve recently had some lovely but cooler days but it’s getting warmer now and more overcast. I definitely can’t complain though since we’ve hardly had much of a winter. Cheers.
Very beautiful photos. Our dog Rollo is afraid of Geese, especially the sound they make.

Maybe you are right. Rollo is also a smaller dog.

Yes, a flapping angry goose could really scare a smaller dog.

Thank you very much, Victoria. 😊 Yes, they do like to organise themselves but they were also quite calm which can be unusual for them.
