The setting sun gleams for a last few seconds …

… before disappearing behind the mountains …

… in an orange haze.
Happy Sunday.

Thank you. 😊 The sun goes down quickly at this time of year but yes, it was very serene.

It’s so nice to see the sun. We’ve had so many overcast days that the last couple of sunny (though cold) days have been a real pick-me-up.

We’re cooler as well but yes, it has been so nice to see the sun. The valley cloud socks us in quite a bit of course so this was a lovely little gift. Cheers.

So nice that the gleam comes earlier and leaves later these days Lynette. Sun of any kind is a blessing in the winter. Have a wonderful Sunday. Allan

Thanks, Allan. Yes, that’s very true; the sun is still zipping pretty quickly below the horizon but the twilight period is growing so nicely. We’re cooler but seeing the sun is great. Cheers.

The setting sun parts and I feel slightly nostalgic as the day is done. Nicely captured, as if longing is safely banked. 📷

Thank you very much, Chuckster. Oh yes, that’s much how I feel, as well. We get lots of valley cloud in winter so having a clear day is precious.

Beautiful! Do people take their powerboats and sailboats on the lake in winter?

Thanks, John. 😊 People don’t take them out as often but it does happen. A couple of weeks ago in late December when our temperatures were warmer, there were more boats about. Cheers.

Beautiful captures. Glad you got to see (and photograph) the glimpse of colour from the sunset before it faded behind the mountains.

Thank you very much, Linda. The sun still disappears so quickly at this time of year but at least the days are longer now. Wishing you some good weather, Linda.
