Steady

We have had a couple of very welcome, mostly sunny days …

… with the somewhat warmer temperatures of 3C (37F) …

… and a completely appreciated lack of wind …

… pretty good for late December!

Happy Tuesday.

      1. Nice! It’s kinda funny how we change as we age (speaking of myself only), I used to be sad if there wasn’t enough snow in northern lower Michigan to ride snowmobiles, today I want nothing to do with the snow. 😂

  1. I’ve been thinking the same thing about it not being too bad for late December, but then I remembered that some of our worst (coldest) weather happens in January and early February. I think that’s just one last kick to make us appreciate spring when it comes.

    1. Oh yes, that’s for sure. Our worst weather is definitely in January, particularly the middle of the month. Once we get past that, things certainly start looking up and although there can be days when it’s bad they start becoming fewer and farther.

  2. The wind is killer in the winter. We’ve had a series of snow squalls these past few days. Not so much fun for walking or shovelling (just gets blown back on the driveway). My skin isn’t a fan of it either! Glad to hear you had a warm and calm day to enjoy the sunshine.

    1. Given the bad weather in most of the country I’ve decided that I definitely can’t complain about the rain or overcast! And particularly over the last couple of days we have been really lucky.

I agree that the winter winds can be brutal. That was one thing I really hated about NWT. Once it was down into the -20s it was usually too cold for wind, but when it was in the minus teens there was lots of blowing, too, and that was very hard on the skin. So dry and cracking at times, too. Ugh.
