After days of bucketing rain we’ve had some glimmers of sky and sun, something to definitely enjoy in the moment since we don’t know when we’re going to see them again!

At 5C (41F) it was rather chilly but much less so than in the mountains where all that snow is residing!

Despite the clouds still blowing around a bit it was great to see the sky and know that the rain won’t last forever.

I enjoyed watching the interplay of colours among the wind, cloud, sky and setting sun, but after a bit I needed to move on as I was becoming chilled.

Some brisk walking got me warmed up again but I had a nice hot chocolate when I got home.
Happy Sunday.
Stunning Lynette. So nice to have this on your doorstep.

we don’t have much better weather than you here in Dallas but you have a gorgeous landscape to look at.

Yes, we definitely do. We’re very fortunate to live in such a beautiful region although I think that B.C. Is rather gorgeous all over. (But I’m biased, too. 😊)

Looks like the area got a good dump of snow in the hills.

The mountains have loads of snow. The ski operators are thrilled and expecting a good season. Down here we are getting buckets and buckets of rain instead.

I prefer it to snow!

But then the birds have to look harder for food, and inexperienced drivers cause mayhem. The snow looks pretty though.

Actually, I worded that completely wrongly! I meant to convey that I prefer rain to snow. I agree that the snow, especially new snow, can cause lots of issues.

I looked at your comment again, and it’s not wrong at all, but it can be interpreted both ways. It’s a bit like “Eats shoots and leaves.” LOL. Funny how that phrase (I prefer it to snow) can work both ways. Well, I’m glad you prefer rain to snow, down at the street level.

Yes, “eats shoots and leaves!” I usually try to avoid phrases like that but this one got by me. I definitely prefer rain over snow. No shovelling! Cheers.

Pretty shots Lynette. The snow on the hills enhances the winter (yes, I said winter) light. I hear there was 40 cm expected on the Coquihalla over the weekend. Glad I am not driving it this December. Cheers. Allan

Thank you, Allan. Oh yes, it’s not officially winter but it’s winter nevertheless. The conditions on the Coquihalla aren’t great or highway 3 either. I wouldn’t want to be driving either! Cheers.

The snowy hills in the distance add something to the lake view.

I agree that the distant snowy mountains add dimension to the partial overcast. Cheers.

Winter does seem to display dramatic skies. Lovely photos, Lynette. I hope you have a nice Sunday. We’re in Seattle where we’ll get to enjoy a day with my sister, brother-in-law, niece and nephew; a treat!

Thank you very much, Tricia. 😊 It sounds like you’re going to have a good day with family. Our weather is back to its overcast, rainy self with loads of snow and blizzard conditions in the mountains, so we’re cocooning today. Cheers.

Fine photos, Lynette! So nice to have some sun and see some colour whenever they stop by. Drinking a cup of tea as I read this. Snow and -10C outside ❄️

Thank you very much. I completely agree, Belinda. Sun is becoming pretty rare. It’s pelting down again today and there’s a very heavy overcast – although at higher altitudes these are blizzard conditions and some of the highways are closed, so I’m glad not to be in that – but I had to do a bit of grocery shopping. I was damp, it was crowded and hot, people were grumpy and I am so tired (already!) of hearing piped in seasonal music. I would have given anything to be at home enjoying a cup of something comforting!

Thank you very much. They sure do, Bernie. I’ve been frozen in lots of spots for various outside purposes, especially when I was younger, but it’s not a practice I typically follow any more!

It was such a welcome break, Linda! It had been quite dark and so much rain. We have moss growing everywhere. Yes, the hot chocolate was a nice thing to come home to. Cheers.
