Sky Scenes

After days of bucketing rain we’ve had some glimmers of sky and sun, something to definitely enjoy in the moment since we don’t know when we’re going to see them again!

At 5C (41F) it was rather chilly but much less so than in the mountains where all that snow is residing!

Despite the clouds still blowing around a bit it was great to see the sky and know that the rain won’t last forever.

I enjoyed watching the interplay of colours among the wind, cloud, sky and setting sun, but after a bit I needed to move on as I was becoming chilled.

Some brisk walking got me warmed up again but I had a nice hot chocolate when I got home.

Happy Sunday.

          1. I looked at your comment again, and it’s not wrong at all, but it can be interpreted both ways. It’s a bit like “Eats shoots and leaves.” LOL. Funny how that phrase (I prefer it to snow) can work both ways. Well, I’m glad you prefer rain to snow, down at the street level.

  1. Pretty shots Lynette. The snow on the hills enhances the winter (yes, I said winter) light. I hear there was 40 cm expected on the Coquihalla over the weekend. Glad I am not driving it this December. Cheers. Allan

    1. Thank you, Allan. Oh yes, it’s not officially winter but it’s winter nevertheless. The conditions on the Coquihalla aren’t great or highway 3 either. I wouldn’t want to be driving either! Cheers.

  2. Winter does seem to display dramatic skies. Lovely photos, Lynette. I hope you have a nice Sunday. We’re in Seattle where we’ll get to enjoy a day with my sister, brother-in-law, niece and nephew; a treat!

    1. Thank you very much, Tricia. 😊 It sounds like you’re going to have a good day with family. Our weather is back to its overcast, rainy self with loads of snow and blizzard conditions in the mountains, so we’re cocooning today. Cheers.

    1. Thank you very much. I completely agree, Belinda. Sun is becoming pretty rare. It’s pelting down again today and there’s a very heavy overcast – although at higher altitudes these are blizzard conditions and some of the highways are closed, so I’m glad not to be in that – but I had to do a bit of grocery shopping. I was damp, it was crowded and hot, people were grumpy and I am so tired (already!) of hearing piped in seasonal music. I would have given anything to be at home enjoying a cup of something comforting!

    1. Thank you very much. They sure do, Bernie. I’ve been frozen in lots of spots for various outside purposes, especially when I was younger, but it’s not a practice I typically follow any more!

    1. Thank you very much for your lovely comments, Hary. It was definitely a quiet walk and time to celebrate the sky art. And yes, a bit of chill was offset by a warm drink. I do and have been stopping by your blog. 😊 Cheers.
