Last Friday Fleurday I posted flower pictures from March, April and May; today I’m posting pictures from June, July and August. And I’m really happy about that, because right now we have cloud down to the valley floor and a lot of rain! In the mountains it came down as snow, so if you’re planning a ski trip, I know where there’s plenty of the fresh stuff! But on to more colourful things …

… like a lovely June iris …

… a very fresh daisy …

… and some lovely variegated hydrangeas.

July brought pond lilies …

… impatiens …

… many more hydrangeas …

… and lots of pond lilies, too.

While in August we had anemones …

… sunflowers …

… black-eyed susans …

… penny macs …

… and last but not least, tea roses.
I really enjoyed my little trip through the summer archive! After going for a very soggy and grey ramble today, it was lovely knowing that all these lovelies will be back.
Happy Friday, happy weekend.
Love the water droplets on the first photo 😀

It is good to remember the bright and sunny days – I was woken this morning by torrential rain hitting the bedroom window and I know that the garden resembles a quagmire at the moment, No gardening here for a while.

I agree, Paddy. The rain today was literally bucketing straight down – at least it was wind still – and I saw that the nearest ski area received 30 cm. I understand about your garden. We are very, very soggy and grey but apparently we will be getting some sun over the next couple of days – which I will believe when I see it!

My garden is a memory and it’s no longer mine since I sold my home in June. Fortunately, I have plenty of pictures.
These are lovely, Lynette. Happy Friday!

Thank you very much, Laura. 😊 Leaving a beautiful garden behind can be quite a wrench but yes, pictures do help.

Lovely images, Lynette. It’s very grey and gloomy here, so the flowers helped a bit to brighten the day.

Thank you very much, Tricia. 😊 I’m happy to hear that. It seems that the low dropping all the rain went much of the way down the coast!

A beautiful collection Lynette. So much variety, texture and colour. Nature is a genius artist. Thanks for the day brightener. Allan

Thank you very much, Allan. Nature is the best one out there, for sure. You’re very welcome; my pleasure. It was so grey and wet here – and either grey and wet or grey and snowy in much of the rest of the country – that flowers seemed exactly right. Cheers.

I sure enjoyed seeing the colour of those beautiful flowers! A sweet reminder of what we have to look forward to 😊

I’m glad you enjoyed them. It really seemed like the right time given all the grey and rain! We apparently got about 25 cm of rain in a 24 hour period. Nice to remember that this will pass. 😊

That is a lot of rain but at least it doesn’t stick around 😊

Yes I can imagine. We are currently having a severe thunderstorm here in Dallas. Cheers 🍻

All that noise is so hard on their poor ears!

Yes they have sensitive ears. He heard the storm approaching long before the rest of us had noticed. Then we looked it up on the weather channel and we knew it was coming.

It’s so lovely to see some colour. It’s been drab and dreary these past couple of weeks. And everything is covered in snow. That pink water lily is especially gorgeous.

I agree completely, Linda. The pink lilies are so pretty when they bloom. We don’t have any snow here on the valley floor but it doesn’t take much of a climb to find some! And of course it’s very, very grey and overcast. Ugh.
