So, the flower pickings have dwindled a lot, but I did find some for today’s post.

The always-lovely chrysanthemums are starting to fade now, but they have been very cheery through the wind and rain that we’ve often experienced this autumn.

I also found some asters in a protected spot; they’re looking quite perky considering that it’s almost mid-November!

A few pretty dianthus are still blooming among the falling leaves, too.

And lastly, a couple of anemones provided a sweet memory of summer.
Happy Friday; I hope your weekend blooms beautifully. 🌼
Heavy rains and strong winds have cleared to garden of flowers here in southeast Ireland.

Most of ours are gone, too. In another week there will be very little left as we’ve now entered the rainy season. Buckets coming down but at least not wind-driven!

The color of those asters is jolting. In a good way.

Yes, they sure are; in a good way! They were such a lovely find tucked away in their corner.

Asters are great for late blooms. Not many other flowers are brave enough to bloom this late.

They sure are, and these were really perky looking. No, not too many are brave enough. We have hedges of matador roses in lots of places and they seem to tolerate winter quite well, also.

That’s one good thing about living in a southern climate. You’d get to have flowers all year round. Here we have to take what we can get and enjoy it while we can.

It definitely is, although I don’t think we do too badly here considering how far north we are. We haven’t had frost or even been close yet which most of the country has definitely already experienced, but yes, we do have to take what we get and enjoy it while we can.

I’m always amazed at how long the flowers hang on. There are some hardy ones for sure. Happy Friday, Lynette!

Thank you very much, Tricia. 😊 Unfortunately, they are disappearing very quickly and I have to face the fact that winter is coming!

😊 They’re certainly dwindling everywhere although I still have fading impatiens and petunias on my deck. So nice that they have lasted this long. I get that the prairies are different; I used to live in Alberta. Cheers.

I am too although they are fading fast. Even so I try to enjoy them as long as I can. Cheers.
