Red and Blue …

… and gold, too.

The contrasts in colours at this time of year in the northern hemisphere can be spectacular …

… but they have to be enjoyed right now …

… as this beauty is fleeting and precious …

… and has to carry us through winter.

“Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.” Albert Camus

Happy Monday.

    1. Thanks, Allan. Yes, he sure did. The white ash trees are coming their pinnacle now but the red maples are just getting started so we have some beauties still coming. I remember from my years in Alberta that the yellows were beautifully intense but didn’t last long. Cheers.

    1. I lived for a year in Phoenix and remember that any leaves just sort of dried up and fell off – although not many broad-leafed trees in the desert there. So no colours, but the air and atmosphere took on the loveliest calm, clear quality. It was beautiful.
