A watery October sun …

… valiantly pushes through a still-warm overcast …

… a polished pewter sky alleviated by nature’s alternative colours.
Happy Saturday.

Lynette what a gorgeous description of a gray sky! I love the alliteration. And your fall colors are in full glory! Ours are just beginning here. I’m going out looking for them in different places to make sure I see as many colors as possible!

Thank you very much for your lovely compliment, Laura. 😊 It’s actually just these two trees that have changed very quickly and very gloriously so there are many more to come and I’m looking forward to those. It’s such fun to take a hike or drive to see as many as possible. I hope you enjoy your tree spotting! Cheers.

Grey skies still allow the autumn colours to shine. Happy Saturday Lynette. Allan

Thank you, Allan. Those grey skies sure do! Today we are being sideswiped by a huge low that’s dropping a lot of rain but apparently it’s snow already through some of the passes. 2-10 cm expected on the Connector!

The vivid colors are greatly enhanced by the dull sky. Beautiful prose too, Lynette.

Thank you very much, Thomas. The white ash trees put on quite a show! Such beautiful colours but they don’t last long.

That is one gorgeous display of fall colours, which more than makes up for the dreary skies.

Those trees are really quite something. So beautiful, and there’s another group of them in the same park that hasn’t started turning yet. They’re definitely making up for the overcast. Cheers

yes that October sun can be watery indeed and sets so darn early. Great colours in those trees.

Agreed, Bernie! It’s so low in the sky and if there’s a little cloud it doesn’t have much power at all. Yes, the white ash trees are really pretty when they turn. Cheers.
