Here are some varied summer evening-sky scenes to remember as this lovely season begins to disappear into autumn.

A blue hour with moon …

… a silhouetted mountain …

… an overcast sunset …

… and sunset-reflected clouds …

… together with a lovely view of evening Rocky Mountains …

… are images to take with us as summer unwinds.
Happy Sunday.
Those are very beautiful photos

The light becomes so gentle as we move between summer and autumn. Beautiful images Lynette. Happy Sunday. Allan

Thank you very much, Allan. It sure does (when there’s no smoke!). I love the autumn light and beautiful quality of the air.

Thank you very much, Wayne. Yes, it is, but we’re still buried in smoke (and overcast, too) here so it unlikely I’ll be able to see it. Too bad.

it will occur during our daylight hours Lynette. So even If It was clear you won’t be able to view it anyways.

Oh! I thought it was tonight. In any case, day or night, we have too much smoke!

Robbie already posted shots of it

This year I’m not sorry to see summer go – all the drought and fires – but your end of summer skies are fantabulous!

Thank you very much, Anneli. 😊 I’m definitely not going to miss the temperatures we had over the last couple of weeks and certainly not the smoke, either! But I love the late summer and early autumn in particular. That shoulder bit can be so nice (if we can ever get rid of the smoke!).

Not very reliable any more as we deal with smoke, fire, heat and drought. Ugh.

oh, the “overcast sunset” and the “evening Rockies” — even in the midst of my own wonders, here in central Canada, I hug those two images to my heart

Beautiful set of shots as summer comes to an end. Some of our leaves are already starting to change colour.

Thank you very much, Linda. I’ve noticed a bit of a yellow here and there, too. Official autumn is less than two weeks away!
