  1. A beautiful place Lynette. It is nice to get the Lazy days of summer and not the Lazy Hazy days from wildfire smoke. We are chilly here at 9 this AM after a couple of days of rain (over an inch). What a strange summer coast to coast! We are so thankful for our moisture after so many dry years. Happy Thursday. 1. Thanks, Allan. I agree, lazy but not hazy. We have been very fortunate this summer with only a couple of smokey days and of course we have had rain here and there with a rainy, cooler spring, too. I’m so glad to hear that you got some rain, Allan. I understand that the system covered northern Saskatchewan and Manitoba too, and provided some moisture against the fires. Yes, it has been a strange summer. St. John’s is sweltering with 30+ and forest fires all around. I think we’re definitely seeing climate change.

    1. Thank you very much, Belinda. 😊 We have been experiencing a much better summer than many other regions of the country. Fingers crossed that conditions improve, especially for those experiencing forest fires.

  2. Lucky on both counts. As we’re nearing the end of summer, it hasn’t been nearly as humid and the nights are getting cooler. It’s been nice. I’ve enjoyed summer, but the fall is my favourite time of the year.

    1. That must be a relief! Ontario really went through a bad time of it there. I’ve always enjoyed summer too but I’m beginning to feel the same way as autumn is just more comfortable and of course it’s gorgeous. Here, September is probably our best month.
