More hydrangeas …

Happy Friday.

I’m never going to complain about more hydrangeas Lynette. Such a beautiful plant and flower. I still remember seeing them as country hedges in Ireland. My hydrangea is just coming into its own right now, thanks to all the rain. Happy Friday. Allan

Thanks, Allan. Me either! There’s a beautiful heritage home here that has hydrangea and rhododendron hedges. They can grow so tall and the blooms are just so gorgeous. You should post some pictures of your hydrangea when you can. Cheers.

Dear Lynette
Here they flower in nearly every garden, too. We have dark pink ones and light pink ones in our garden.
Happy weekend

Hi Fab Four, thank you very much. Some types of hydrangeas are white or cream to start with and then turn varying shades of pink – one of the wonderful characteristics of these shrubs – do yours change colour like that?

We change their colours by adding iron to the soil to make them blue. We love the blue ones best.

Yes, we do that here, too. I agree that the blue ones are gorgeous. Thanks, Klaus.

Thank you very much, John. This weekend we are having our Rib Fest competition. There are teams from all over Canada as well from many U.S. states. Lots of great food!

Ooohh yummy! Have fun. You guys still allow Americans into Canada? (joking) 🙃🤭

All joking aside, Americans are very welcome to visit (and eat ribs). 😊

Will forever be my favorite flowers. We don’t have them where I am, so I welcome any chance I can see them even virtually.
