July 11’s Friday Fleurday

We are reaching peak flower time for some species, so it’s an excellent time to really enjoy them.

Purple and pink hydrangeas …
A daisy-fresh daisy …
Petunias and lobelias …
Orange blossoms …

May you have a wonderful day.

    1. I found that combination in a city park. We had been having a somewhat cooler summer which was helping the flowers to last longer but the heat is amping up now with high 30s (high 90s-low 100s F). We thankfully have dry heat, though.

        1. Agreed; the prairies can be demanding that way. I lived in Alberta for 20 years and really needed to be cautious about what to plant in my garden. There were many, many failures. The chinooks can take a toll as can the cold, the wind or the dryness, but when things click, they really click!
