The hydrangeas are really coming out to bloom in all their gorgeous beauty!

A variegated red, white and pink one …

… and another one on the same plant, a variegated pink and white bloom.

Here they are next to each other …

… and here’s the gorgeous plant, bursting with summer vibrancy!
Happy hydrangea Friday.
Beautiful!!

Love hydrangeas. There are many varieties and they are all hardy. Happy Friday to you as well.

Yes, hydrangeas are so beautiful and hardy, as well. They will grow almost anywhere and can be such amazingly different colours.

I’m going to show our one pathetic underperforming hydrangea bush these photos. Maybe it’ll be inspired to bloom [dammit]. Happy Friday to you. 😊

Hi Ally, yes, definitely show that bush what’s what! Although to be fair, this plant is in one of the city’s parks and they employ an army of gardeners, undergardeners and park maintenance people (there are many, many city parks and also a major horticulture program situated here as well so lots of students needing practica placements), so it’s well looked after.
My mother always said that adding coffee grounds to the soil around hydrangeas was very important (and also kept a number of plant-chewing bugs and slugs away, too, apparently), so you could try that. My mom had a huge green thumb and her remedies always seemed to work. Cheers.

Will try that. I’ve got the grounds so an easy experiment. Thanks.

Beautiful Lynette. Ours is off to a slow start here, but what else is new? Happy Friday. Allan

Thank you, Allan. Sorry to hear that. Your weather has been rather up and down, so that would affect them, too. But better late than never, though!

Thank you very much, Belinda. 😊 I particularly like that colour combination too. It’s so lovely, but yes, I like all hydrangeas. Cheers.

My favourite!! Isn’t it wonderful how they come in such different colours and varieties?! We have a couple of incrediball hydrangeas outside our front house that are not quite in bloom yet. Soon though.

Hydrangeas are amazing. From the panicle to the incrediball, all those colour variations and then how the various types can be spread out to bloom almost constantly throughout the summer and late into autumn. They’re so wonderful.
