The little cherry tree bud picture that I posted in February has done some growing! Here it is then …

… and now.

It’s not a great photo as the wind was blowing a lot and I couldn’t get a steady focus, but you can get the idea.

Here’s more of the tree itself in its lovely spot next to Okanagan Lake. Soon there will be cherry blossoms.
Happy Wednesday.
Clever!

It’s so interesting to watch plant growth. They certainly change quickly! Lovely photos.

Thank you, Tricia. I do like to check frequently on my way through and past gardens during my walks. It’s always great to see how well they’re doing. Cheers.

If the cherry tree thinks its safe to come out, perhaps spring is close. Have a great Wednesday Lynette. Allan

Thanks, Allan. Our temperatures have been good and are moving more consistently into 13-15,° so the warmth for the blossoms is there. Lots more overcast and misty drizzle today though and even the possibility of lightning!

Yay! Can you eat them or are they bird food?

These are ornamental in a garden so yes, the birds will get them. I have noticed that the trees in the commercial cherry orchards are starting their blooms too, though.

It’s so encouraging when we see the first leaves or buds.

It’s so great to see them getting ready to bloom. This one is an ornamental cherry tree but I’ve seen the trees in the commercial orchards starting up now, too.

It won’t be long until all the blooms are out on display
