The day began with a lot of heavy overcast but by mid-afternoon it had cleared off enough …

… to provide us with a lovely sunset.

Windless and with a relatively mild temperature of 2C (35.6F), I enjoyed a colourful late afternoon walk as the sun disappeared.
Happy Wednesday.
That’s just fabulous! Happy Wednesday, Lynette!

Last year, I met a German woman in Hallstatt, Austria. She had come there to watch the sun go down.

Some people here will do similar things, also. If the overcast here in the valley has been unrelenting for a long time, people will drive into the nearby mountains to see the sun. Perhaps that’s what the German lady was doing or maybe she just really likes watching sunsets!

A gorgeous golden glow Lynette. I love that the hours (minutes) of daylight are finally increasing. Happy Wednesday. Allan

Thank you, Allan. Isn’t that great? I’ve been noticing it too. January may be colder than December but at least the days start to become noticeably longer. Soon it will be February and spring isn’t far behind! Cheers.

Looks lovely! We’re having a Chinook right now, but winter returns on Saturday. Maggie

It was a very pretty sunset! The chinooks bring overcast but that warm wind can be such a lovely little break!

The reflection of the setting sun is really lovely, particularly in the second photo 😊

Glad the clouds cleared and you got to enjoy a beautiful sunset. We got quite a bit of snow yesterday. No complaints as it’s a good excuse to work from home today (and maybe tomorrow too)!

Thank you very much. Yes, I heard about Ontario’s weather. Snow days can be such a lovely little gift. Even if you’re working, it’s so great to have a break from having to go out. Cheers.

Great colour. Feels warm even if it isn’t “that” warm.

You’re welcome Lynette. Things are going very well, my sis and I are sore from the hard work cleaning and removing things to take to the Salvation Army for donation. The ServPro people who are doing the mold remediation are moving along nicely too. Thanks, hurricanes last summer. 😡
