It recently occurred to me that this blog has been running since October, 2012 – quite a long time. Although it’s not my blogversary, I feel like doing a photographic “looking back” series and posting some pictures that have been buried for a while. These are not necessarily great photos, they’re just photos that I like, that evoke strong feelings.

These pictures are from an early autumn holiday visit to the Okanagan Valley in 2012. We knew we loved it, but didn’t know then that we would eventually move here.

Good memories of a lovely holiday.
The grapes look splendid. Happy Sunday!

Great post Lynette. Looking back from time to time shows us how far we have come. Hiking through the vineyards gives us something good to wine about. Happy Sunday. Allan

Aren’t they a nice little break from the greyness and whiteness? Can you tell I’m looking forward to spring?

I also enjoy the memories certain photos bring back, another joy of photography. A fine set, Lynette 😊

Thank you very much, Belinda. 😊 I agree; that’s definitely another joy of photography. Works much better for me than any kind of journal or diary. Cheers.

Beautiful pictures. I get why they evoke strong feelings considering you ended up moving to the Okanagan Valley! Looks like a fabulous area to hike, enjoy the views and sip some delicious wine afterwards!

Thank you very much, Linda. We enjoyed that autumn visit a lot and at the time talked about how we would probably enjoy living here. At the time we were in Alberta with a move to southern Saskatchewan coming up! The hiking all throughout the Okanagan is pretty wonderful and yes, you can reward yourself with a sip afterwards. 😊

It’s nice to look back on good times, especially at this time of year when most of us need a pick-me-up.

It sure is, isn’t it? We have sun today but for the most part it has been so grey and dreary.
