Me? Go in There? I Don’t Think So!

The Canada geese were standing on the beach contemplating the water and very dubious about going in. They’re always so good at showing their displeasure.

The wind had started up and they were feeling chilly, it seems. I really didn’t blame them. Finding a good evening roost seemed like a much better idea.

Despite the wind we had a lovely sunny day with lots of people round and about enjoying the Frost Fest.

Happy Sunday.

    1. It was about 4C but the wind felt very cold. The geese were milling around muttering among themselves and I could tell they wanted to go in but the wind and water together were really putting them off. Definitely chilly!

  1. Looks like a warm day by comparison to here Lynette. We went for a walk at -17C yesterday. Not sure we will stick our heads out the door today. It is -33C this AM. Now, this is January. Happy Sunday. Allan

    1. Thanks, Allan. You definitely need your warmies if you’re going to go out in that! We’re definitely a lot warmer but I believe we’re all supposed to heat up later in the week so at least it won’t last too long. Yes, we certainly have January; no question!

  2. I can understand the wish to avoid cold water on a chilly day! Looks beautiful though. It is hovering around freezing here but may warm up towards the end of this week.

    1. Yes, me too! They were milling around and muttering to each other; it was quite funny to listen to them as they really wanted to go in but the cold wind seemed to be holding them back. We had a cold (about 4C) but sunny day; the wind felt like it was coming off a glacier. We’re supposed to warm up within a few days, too. Cheers.
