From time-to-time this winter we have had very lovely sunsets.

Sometimes these pink glows have been the result of a little break in the overcast during sunset …

… but at other times they have been caused by a sunny day. After a slow start, we just had one of those.

Everything was pinkwrapped, including these Canada geese who were heading for their evening roost.
Happy Wednesday.
Beautiful.

Awesome shots. We have been getting the pink skies in the morning here. Always a pretty start or end to the day. Happy Wednesday Lynette. Allan

Thank you, Allan. We’re actually in a bit of a sunnier period with very overcast mornings that clear up by about noon or one. So great to get a bit of bright light!

In deed, pink is like blue, a calming color. Oops, colour. 😊

I’ve never heard the term pinkwrapped before, but it’s spot on for this phenomenon. Stunning photos!

Thank you very much, Tricia. 😊 Actually, I made it up – autocorrect kept trying to change it – but it felt like the right description. Cheers.

Great that you can capture the colors. I can never quite catch the color I’m seeing with my eyes the same in a photo.

Thank you very much, Lori. 😊 I play with the settings quite a bit since the camera likes to do its own interpretations sometimes. 😉 Of course, a good camera can “see” colours better than we can, too. The “blue hour” is a good example of that as it can see the blue spectrum in ways that are outside our visual range. Cheers.

I used to be good with film cameras, but I’ve struggled getting digital correctly. Wish you could give me a lesson.
