It was a rather rainy month but we definitely had some beautiful colours to admire, if only for a short time. Here’s a selection.

The beauties of autumn are mostly gone now but we’re entering a time of year for seasonal celebrations and lots of light displays. Not as good as nature’s shows but definitely also a lovely time of year.

Season’s Greetings.
Lynette, this is such a beautiful reminder of the autumn colours and your last one gives a hint of the December festive splash ahead! Can’t wait! 😀

Hi Annika, thank you very much. 😊 Yes, the colours were beautiful and I really didn’t mind the rain too much because we still needed it so badly against the drought conditions. But I believe our water table is now where it should be, so November had other good things going on besides colours. 😊 And yes, lots of festivities coming up. We had our winter parade yesterday evening. Lots of fun. Cheers.

Another colorful set of photos! Of course I’m particular to the swans. But I just really like how the ‘color temperature’ changes between pictures from loud, fiery, and bright to duller, silver and blue. A nice contrast.

Thank you very much, Daniel. 😊 I very much appreciate your comment. I wanted to give a sense of the decay occurring amid the beauty of the colours. I find the death of the season and the year poignant.

All are beautiful photos. It is very hard to pick a favourite. And how bright those reds.

Thank you very much, Liz. 😊 Yes, the reds this year were very, very red. So beautiful.

Hard to believe December is here. I like your “it rained a lot” shot with the colours and textures of autumn reminding me of multi coloured potato chips .Yesterday was the best weather day we had in Vancouver in almost 1 1/2 months. So amazing the difference the sun can make. Happy December Lynette. Allan

Thank you very much, Allan. Hahaha. 😊 – yes, those leaves do look like chips! Mostly ketchup chips, maybe? Glad to hear that you had a good day; we’re supposed to get a number of them in a row! Very exciting! Exactly; the sun makes a lot of difference especially when the gloom has been prevailing.

another sunny day today, but cool. We are on the ferry on Wed, getting out of town before Taylor arrives. Always nice to be on the ferry on a sunny day.

We’re supposed to get more overcast by the weekend but no mention of anything worse than that. Nice that you’re experiencing some sun, Allan. Enjoy the ferry.

Happy Holidays to you too, Lynette! My sis just sent a pic of herself wrapped up against the cold. 18 degrees! Yikes.

Thank you very much, Jacqui. 😊 Not that cold here – we have had 5C (41F) pretty steadily with the snow confined to the mountains – yay! Cheers.

I love these photos, especially the duck, and the sunset with the branches in the foreground.

Thank you very much, Anneli. The autumn reds are very impressive but I think I like little duck best of all. She was so cute.
