Night descends so quickly now and soon the clocks will flip back to standard, bringing even earlier evenings and a different sort of seasonal beauty.
Happy Sunday.

Hi Neil, I can’t access the video as it’s “unavailable.” Please let me know what the topic is and I’ll look it up. Cheers.

It’s a song from the 1960s. The babd was called Them. Van Morrison was in that band. The song is Here Comes The Night.

Thank you very much, Neil! That’s a great song and I had forgotten about it. Cheers.

You’ve captured a lovely reflection! I can’t say I’m a fan of the shorter days 😏

Thanks, Belinda. I love that reflection. It was a beautifully wind-still evening so the conditions for it were right. Agreed – the shorter days aren’t a favourite. Ugh.

I hate how little sunshine we get at this time of year and next weekend, we hit DST. Oh well, only 110 more days until we are back to where we are right now. Happy Sunday Lynette. Allan

Thanks, Allan. Yes, here we go with another time change. I’m not a fan either, and we get socked in by cloud here in the valley. But we do have a solution: we go up to Apex where it’s sunny to have lunch. 😊

Lighting up the trees has such a beautiful effect.

I very much like his Penticton had done that in a number of parks. Agreed – it’s a beautiful effect.

Happy Sunday! I usually hate it when night comes too soon, but in late fall/early winter, during the holidays, it means you get to see all the holiday lights sooner, so that’s cool.

Thank you very much, Cecelia. 😊 I didn’t think of it that way but of course that’s true. The original ancient intention of the seasonal lights was to banish the darkness!

Beautiful shot. The lights look even brighter in the darkness. I’m not looking forward to daylight saving time next weekend.

Thank you, Linda. Penticton has installed those lights in quite a few places along the lakes. It’s really pretty, especially as we get darker. Nope, I not looking forward to those shorter daylight hours either. Ugh.
