  1. Something we have not seen or heard too much of this summer. Very unusual. I do like a good summer storm, provided there is no hail. Happy Saturday Lynette. Allan

    1. Thanks very much, Allan. We haven’t either. A few days ago there was one to the south of us (lots of lightening but not much rain) that started a couple of fires but they were extinguished quickly. The one in the photos ended up going around us. We had a bit of rain from it and it cooled off and became very cloudy and windy but it didn’t drop much moisture. We’re back up to 31 again today and are supposed to get rain this afternoon but who knows. Here’s to rain for all of us, sans hail!

  2. Beautiful pictures. Despite the moody clouds, I love how there’s still a pop of colour from the sun. We finally got some relief from the heat and humidity last week, along with some rain. Next week is supposed to be much more comfortable, but we could use more rain though.

    1. Thank you very much, Linda. In summer we rarely get a solid overcast, so even when we have huge rain-filled black clouds, the sun can always peek through. I love the interplay of light and dark and then the reds of sunset interspersed among the clouds. Glad to hear that you’re finally getting relief from the humidity. Even with ac, it’s so draining. I hope Baby M is sleeping through it okay. Yes, more rain would be an excellent thing.

    1. We did have some temporary relief but the temperature has gone back up again to 31-32C (88-89F) and some smoke from a nearby forest fire has come along now, too. We’re supposed to get some rain today and tomorrow, fingers crossed!
