      1. It’s happening the world over. Extremes are becoming the norm almost everywhere, as was predicted by Greenpeace over 40 years ago. And this is just the beginning, unless we all act to prevent it.

        1. I couldn’t agree more, but so many people are driven by greed and then there is a right-wing, religious conspiracy-theory element that comes into this, too. The politicians only want to get elected and will say anything, so there is a triumvirate of business, politics and religious nuttery that’s exerting a lot of control. It’s extremely frustrating.

    1. Thank you very much, Allan. The last several have been up and down for sure with evacuations and massive forest fire damage and of course, we are still in a drought (our area is classified as moderate at the moment). These are nothing like the summers we used to get even 10 or 15 years ago, but agreed, a good summer day is one to remember.

    1. It has definitely been a hot summer over most of B.C. Some high heat around the end of July and beginning of August is normal, especially for the Okanagan, but it’s starting earlier and lasting longer and of course, the north has been hit with temperatures that just aren’t usual there at all. I definitely don’t do as well with heat as I used to, that’s for sure, and I’m very happy that our evenings are starting to cool off a bit, but a good summer day is wonderful thing.

    1. They have a lovely flavour. I would describe them as sweet and tangy, somewhat like a ripe apricot without the skin, but they have their own flavour, too. I’ve never found them to be acidic. Cheers.
