Thanks, Allan. I am trying to do a bit of photo sorting and realised I have many (in particular) sunset photos of Okanagan Lake spread out over almost ten years. Cheers.
Yes, the clouds were breaking up from a rain storm and the setting sun was highlighting them. Since we’re between two mountain ranges, the cumulus cloud formations over this lake can be quite intense especially in spring and autumn.
Thank you very much, Nellifant. I do as well; I find sky-watching endlessly fascinating, especially here since we’re between two mountain ranges and that affects cloud formation. Cheers.
I like them very much, too. There’s something very calming about water, isn’t there? I think might be a combination of the colour and the fact that in good circumstances (no storms!) it gives your brain room to just rest.
Lovely. Happy Sunday!

I love that about this valley. Cloud-watching is fascinating to me and especially the interplay with the light. Cheers.

Beautiful pictures Lynette, the lake is lovely but those October clouds look wild! Maggie

Happy Sunday! It’s a little overcast here, but there’s still some sunlight, so I’m counting it.

These are gorgeous photos. I love how the sky is never the same twice, or for two minutes together.
