Sun Spots

Our weather has been very overcast with a lot of rain and drizzle, but sometimes we get little sun breaks that provide an impressive contrast in colour and mood.

The sky, hills and water palette are beautifully offset by the sunlit winter fields.

It’s very wet and the wind can be unpleasant, too, but the wintery greyish-blues and lustrous pewters are gorgeous.

Happy Thursday.

  1. What might best be called sullen skies Lynette. Every once in a while, the sun manages to poke holes through the clouds. I love these glimmers of hope. Have a great Thursday. Allan

    1. Thanks, Allan.
Yes, glimmers of hope in the sullen skies, exactly! I do like the colours right now but a little more sun would be great, too. Right now it’s very overcast, right down in the valley with more drizzle and rain. But it’s January and that’s what we get!

  2. You deserve a break once in a while, Lyneter –as long as it’s not a bone, which I’ve experienced and wasn’t deserved (it just wasn’t a wise crack). 😥

    1. Agreed, Linda. We have sun today but are supposed to get rain, rain, rain (a huge cold system is settling over the west that will drop a lot of snow in most places) in the next week, so we zoomed out the door to enjoy it!
