Looks like there might be a storm approaching. Yes clouds are beautiful, sometimes, and most blue skies are improved with them.

It did look that way but we only had intermittent showers later on; no wind. I spent a lot of working time avoiding clouds, but aside from the dangerous weather they can cause, I find their variety and how they interact with light intriguing. 🙂

Looks a bit murky, but not as murky as the pea soup fog here yesterday and today. Hope it dissipates before our trip. Cheers Lynette. Allan

Thanks, Allan.
The next morning it was very overcast with 10C, some clouds at about 900 m. and lovely slow showers all day, so I didn’t mind at all.
You’re unfortunately heading into BC’s wet period (with snow at upper elevations) although as you say, your area can get pretty foggy/low overcast (my experience of the airport in late autumn). I think you’re supposed to get decent weather by Wednesday though (us too). Safe driving, Allan.

Those photos are peculiar. I like ’em, but they seem odd.

Could it be because the water looks green? I was focussed on capturing the clouds and lights, but yeah, the water does look a peculiar colour.
It’s something I’ve seen before; an interplay of reflected light from the clouds (they were very low) against the colour of the sand at the lake bottom and also its filtration through the water, I think. At least, that’s my theory. 🙂 Cheers.

The clouds here look like the real story tellers of the sky.🤩

I totally agree. The clouds love to get down into this valley, writing their stories as they see fit. 🙂

So interesting the way a scene changes appearance in different light. Very nice!

I agree. I love those differences and how they reflect life. Because something looks different, is it really different? Cheers.

Nice shots. I love the contrast in colours from the murky appearance in the water to the cloudy skies.

Thank you very much, Linda. The effect that the clouds have on light reflection and colour spread is really amazing, I find. It really looked like we might have a huge storm brewing, but we only had a nice, soaking rainfall, badly needed.
