October 1 Rose Garden

Penticton’s rose garden is still going strong; it’s not yet showing any signs of autumn despite the fact that it’s now October.

Bright beds of roses.
Yellow beauty.
Sunset over the garden.

Happy Monday.

    1. The city looks after this garden, the Japanese garden and all the hanging flower pots (there are many of these everywhere) as well as the other parks, city trees, sculpture installations etc. It’s a lot of work; I usually see at least one truck whenever I go out. They do an excellent job of maintenance, it seems to me. And yes, the climate helps, too. Cheers.

    1. The city has a large gardening dept. Their trucks are out all the time as there are lot of city-owned parks, beaches, trees and two gardens to maintain. I have seen a team move very efficiently through the rose garden doing a bunch of different jobs.

  1. How nice and, to my experience, unusual that roses are still blooming away. Lucky you and the rest of Penticton. My neighbor across the street grows several varieties of imported roses and all have turned brown by now.
