What is that sticking up out of the water in the first photo?
I hope it’s not the periscope of a Russian submarine — it’s bad enough that they sent reconnaissance balloons over Canada and the U.S.! 😀
That would be Ogopogo, a relative of Scotland’s Nessie. They are both really shy; it’s so difficult to get a picture. I’m actually sending this photo to conservation, after which they will send me for a mental health evaluation.
On the other hand, you’re right, it could be those pesky Russians. They’re probably trying to steal our Ogopogo! Actually, it’s a pylon used to guide boats to a nearby dock. 🙂
Thank you very much, Ally. I’m glad that these photos helped you to get a good start. I’m not a morning person at all, so for me, every bit helps. Cheers.
Thank you very much, Allan. It has cooled off a bit here and we had a good rain on Tuesday night which helped with another nearby fire. It’s so, so dry. We need two weeks of very slow rain. Cheers.
Love the sound of water, whether a cascade or the tide hitting the shore. Have a great day.Lynette!

Thanks, Steve. I do as well. It was rather quiet evening, but nevertheless a lovely wave action was occurring. Very relaxing.

It really is, Lori. This area (the Okanagan Valley) shows up on best 10 lists. We feel very fortunate to be here. Cheers.

Okanagan Lake looks beautiful regardless of the mood!

I agree, Linda. It sure does, even when we’re shrouded in forest fire smoke.
