There are lovely walking paths throughout Penticton. A favourite, nearby path is next to the creek which is undergoing restoration at the moment, but for the most part this doesn’t detract from its allurements.

It has a great night ambiance …

… and during the day as well. Some sections have lots of foliage and other parts are a bit denuded because of the revitalization project, but there will be new growth.

The holly bushes that frequently border the creek are starting to to turn red as the picture above shows. They will be completely red in time for December, but in the meantime it’s great to enjoy the comfortable temperatures and sunny days that we’re still experiencing.
Happy Tuesday.
Looks like a nice autumn walk Lynette. Happy Tuesday. Allan

No shortage of wonderful walks there.

There really isn’t, and there are lots of others in the mountains, too, including the old railway bed that is now a walking/hiking trail. Cheers.

Penticton looks like an urban oasis.

It is. There has been a very concerted effort by city council to “densify and walkify.” Councils can make some just plain ridiculous decisions but in this case the planning and follow-through is good. Cheers.

Yes, they sure are! Glorious is the right word for it.

I bet a lot of people walk by and don’t really see the beauty. When you take photographs, it helps to make us look for the beauty that is already there.

I agree, Anneli. We’re on our way somewhere or trying to get in the number of steps we want, or there are other distractions. Photos help us to focus.

The path does make for a pleasant walk. Love the butterfly flag.

It sure does, and is just across the street. Those flags are cute.
