I agree, but both colour and black and white can be manipulated. This photo started life in colour, for instance. The older monochrome photos (print photos) are definitely fun that way. Cheers.

Yes, I am as well; this was a little trip down the experimental path. Black and white can be very effective at times, I think, but in the end I prefer colour.
The soft light and monochrome treatment express a very peaceful view of this rose, Lynette.

Typically I’m more of a fan of colour pictures, but the black and white works really well here.
